"Shallow Waters" Performed by 10 Year-Old Ta'Kaiya Blaney of British Columbia

Ta'Kaiya Blaney is Sliammon First Nation from B.C., Canada. She is concerned about the environment, especially the preservation of marine and coastal wildlife, particularly in light of oil spills along Canada's coastline. "Shallow Waters" was a semi-finalist in the "2010 David Suzuki Songwriting Contest, Playlist for the Planet."

An amazing performance and environmentally-conscious song! This video promotes the stewardship of the earth and will compliment numerous areas of the Ontario curriculum, including but not limited to Geography, Civics, Science, Religion, and Native Studies.
