Jim Guo telah ditunjuk Group Managing Director untuk memimpin DuPont ASEAN. Beliau akan menjalankan peran Group Managing Director DuPont ASEAN disamping perannya sebagai Managing Director untuk DuPont Indonesia, yang telah efektif berlaku sejak tahun lalu.

Di samping penunjukkan Jim Guo ini, diumumkan pula bahwa: Farra Tirana Siregar telah ditunjuk sebagai Managing Director DuPont Singapore, Kelvin Tan Book Chai sebagai Managing Director DuPont Malaysia, Sittideth Sriprateth sebagai Managing Director DuPont Thailand dan Myanmar, dan Vu Tran Thanh sebagai Managing Director DuPont Vietnam.

Dupont aims to grow two to three times the rate of the Philippines’ economic expansion, said a top company official.

“How much we grow depends on how much the local markets grow. Although we have historically achieved double-digit expansion, our aspiration for Asean and for the Philippines is to grow two to three times the GDP (gross domestic product) rate of the region and the country,” said Ramon S. Abadilla, country managing director of DuPont Far East Inc.

Mr. Jim Guo has been appointed Group Managing Director for DuPont ASEAN, in addition to his existing role of Managing Director for DuPont Indonesia, appointed late  last year. Jim joined DuPont in 1995, and brings broad strategic and business management expertise to his expanded leadership role.

In addition to Jim’s appointment, Ms. Farra Tirana Siregar, Mr. Kelvin Tan Boon Chai, Mr. Sittideth Sriprateth and Mr. Vu Tran Thanh were named as managing directors for the respective DuPont organization in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar and Vietnam. Mr. Ramon S. Abadilla and Mr. Saravuth Tuot will continue to serve as managing director for The Philippines and Cambodia, respectively.


“Mr. Hsing Ho, Mr. Ong Ewe Hock, Dr. Somchai Laohverapanich and Mr George Santoso have provided strong leadership in driving the company’s growth in the region. We are grateful for their innumerable contributions to DuPont and their own country and community,” added Tony.

THE PHILIPPINE UNIT of US-based E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company, Inc. (DuPont) is looking at installing rooftop solar facilities in other sites in the country after it completed such a project at its production plant in Tarlac.

The Philippine unit of DuPont USA is looking for areas to plant hybrid rice seeds for commercial production in the country, its top official said.

“We are very strong on corn but not so much on rice. For now, our corn business can supply the needs of the market,” Abadilla said.
