Farra Siregar, Managing Director of DuPont Vietnam said "Vietnam has become the world’s important rice exporter but reasonable prices are considered to be the key to ensuring food security. So, it is necessary to apply scientific and technological advances in food production."

Hence, a food security forum to discuss about the sustainable agriculture development is very essential. According to the MARD, the country needs 36 million tons of rice to meet the demand of about 130 million people in 2035, while the World Bank predicted that by 2030, Vietnam's total food production would be reduced by 5 million tons from major causes of pests and low technologies.
