Now the TV industry is moving towards the next generation of high quality TV screen technology; Ultra High Definition Television (UHDTV).

UHDTV means television that is using any resolution that is above currently broadcast High Definition (HD) Television formats. Currently, the maximum transmitted HD resolution is 1920 pixels x1080 lines, so any resolution above that is considered UHDTV, although in practice, UHD refers to display resolutions of 3840x2160 or higher.

Along with wirelessly stealing photos from the camera, the WiFi infiltration would let hackers upload their own images into the camera or, most disconcertingly, allow someone to gain control of the 1D X and use it as a spy camera via its Live View mode.

The trend for smart TVs is reflected by Idealo data with more than 80% of available TVs in the final quarter of 2012 offering internet connectivity; most popular among these being an integrated web browser, Wi-Fi and on-demand streaming from broadcasters.

According to Press+ data, the average price of a monthly digital subscription is now $9.26 — up from $6.85 at the beginning of 2012. Publishers are also offering fewer articles for free before a user hits a paywall.

Injure someone’s feelings online and you or your company can be sued for defamation, no matter how silly the slight. Josh King, of Avvo.com, says such nuisance suits — known by the acroynm SLAPP — stifle free speech.

The thing about defamation is that the law requires having a certain thickness of skin.  Defamation is not just something written about you that you don’t like.  It’s got to be demonstrably false. It’s got to be damaging. And it can’t just be someone’s opinion.
