Teens go slow on getting driver's licenses: Student Research Center - powered by EBSCOhost

Teens take to long getting there drivers license. Only 44 percent of teens got there drivers license in the first year they could get one. Only that 44 percent had there drivers license when they turned 18.  The death of teens in car accident  has increased in the last years. Car accidents is the leading cause for deaths of teenagers.

Inflatable car seats set to grow: EBSCOhost

A women invented a new inflatable booster seat. She wanted to make the booster seat safe for young kids. Her two kind helped her design the color. She went to China to make a copy of how she wanted it to be. Then they tested the seat to see if it was safe enough to sell in the EU and US markets. The prototype was completed in march of 2009.

Responsibility of drivers, by age and gender, formotor-vehicle crash deaths: EBSCOhost

Mario Vargas's insight:

It seems to show that young male drivers have more responsibility in death included accidents compared to young females in the same age group. Female at the age of 50 years and above have more responsibility in crash deaths compared to males in the same age group. It seems that the driving abilities increase for males and decrease for females.

what's new Seatbelt airbags: EBSCOhost

There's new technology in cars. The safety features are getting better. Ford and Lexus are adding new air bags in there new cars. For example the first new seat belt systems was first introduced on the 2010 Ford Expedition. Also Lexus has the LFA it also has new seat belt system they have air bags in the seat belts.

What new car parents should get new drivers. These parents say it should be big, slow and ugly. I will be safer for everyone and it will keep them from speeding. Safety features it should have are stability control so they can take control of the vehicle if they loose it and side air bags in case the car gets flipped over the side air bags will protect there heads.

Phone law is the talk of teens: Starting Sunday, young drivers can face fin...: EBSCOhost

In Virginia they are passing a law that bans teens younger than 18 years old to use there phones while they are driving. They can get a fine up to $250 the first time and the second time they can get there drivers license suspended. Everyone agrees that the Law should apply to everyone not just teens under the age of 18 years old.

Youngest drivers have more accidents: EBSCOhost

Comparing what drivers are more safe on the road young drivers between 15 years to 24 years old or Senior adult drivers over the age of 65 years old. Young adult drivers are three times as likely to cause an accident compare to senior adults. Some peoples driving ability declines with age but it seems that some senior drivers are still more safe compared to young drivers.
