In 1974, Chinese archaeologists found thousands of life-sized clay soldiers, each with unique features, under the city of Xi'an. They concluded that this was part of a mausoleum made to accompany and protect the first emperor of China in the afterlife.

Interesting fact the clay of soldiers were buried with China's first Emperor to accompany him during his eternal rest.

This was a very informative video. I did not know that each soldier was based on a real person. That makes these sculptures all the more impressive; no two are alike. This just goes to show the impeccable attention t detail and devotion, characteristic of many Asian cultures.
