Donnie McClurkin and Dr. Martin Luther King have many things in common. Starting in thier childhood up into their adult hood. They Both had some strugles and victories. In this essay you will find out a few things that Donnie McClurkin has in common with Dr. Martin Luther King.
Donnie McClurkin has had a rough childhood just like Dr. Martin Luther King. Dr. Martin Luther King grew up during the time of segragation. He had a depressing childhood knowing that one day he could play with his different variety of racial friends one day, to wake up the next and couldnt. He decided to try to make a change about his surroundings. He didnt like the fact that he had to go to a certaion school and sit on a certain section of the bus. On the other hand Pastor Donnie McClurkin also had a pretty bad childhood too. When he was only eight years old he lost his little two year old brother. The night of the funeral he was raped by uncle. Five years after that he had been raped again by his uncle son (his couisn). There was so many times that Donnie wanted to just give up just like there was times that Dr. King wanted to give up but they both stuck it out to the end. McClurkin was mentored by his aunt who was a back up singer for Andrea Crouch, that is how he stayed engaged in the music industrie.
Later on down McClurkin's life line he had been diagnosed with Luekemia. The doctor told Donnie that he needed to immediatly get treated. His response was i have a God, his God is his Doctor , His name is Doctor Jesus. He also stated that if he was to preach the gospel and speak on telling other to trust God to see them threw then he also had to abie by it. McClurkin began to pray that God will hill his body . Six months later when he returned to the doctor, they could not find any sign of Leukemia in his body, all he could say was nobody but God.
In conclusion although Pastor Donnie McClurkin and Dr. Martin Luther King has two different testimony's they are both a big insparation to this nation. Many people look up to both Pastor McClurkin and Dr. King. I believe that just like Dr. King , after McClurkin days are over, he will still be known all over the united states and more.
