"I’m joined on the podcast today by Road to VR Executive Editor Ben Lang and Moor Insights Analyst Anshel Sag for a 45-minute roundtable discussion about Google and what they’re doing in VR. We cover everything including Google Cardboard, Jump cameras, the Expeditions educational program, WebVR, Project Tango, Google Glass, Magic Leap, Tilt Brush, voice recognition, machine learning, the Android ecosystem & their complicated relationship with Oculus & Samsung, and predictions about what type of VR or AR HMD that they may be manufacturing.

It’s clear that Google has some significant in the virtual reality space, and we discuss everything that we know about what they’re currently doing and make some predictions as to where we think we’re going in the future."

TFI LIVE Podcast - Episode #1

"Yes, you heard right, we've started a podcast!

Why? Well, we're always thinking of new ways to showcase the projects that have gone through TFI, inform you on what we're up to and highlight the innovative thinkers that are in our communinty; our hope is TFI LIVE will touch on all of this (and more).

For our first episode we spotlight Picture Motion (starts at the 00:37 mark), a company that specializes in using social media, grassroots screenings and partnership development to create social action campaigns for documentary and narrative films (they've done so already for films like Bully, TFI alum God Loves Uganda and Fruitvale Station). We chat with their Director of Communications, Allie Hoffman, and their Director of Digital Strategy, Darcy Heusel.

Then we talk to 2012 TFI New Media Fund grantee (and recently announced byFilmmaker Magazine as one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film) Elaine McMillion about her web documentary, Hollow (15:35)."
