Are doctors too confidant & not empathetic enough?Top 10 Traits of Highly Effective Doctors - Soliant Health

Are doctors too confidant & not empathetic enough?Top 10 Traits of Highly Effective Doctors - Soliant Health | Doctor Data | Scoop.it

Dr. Veronica Note:

Skill, focus and knowledge are taught well in medical training.

Living a healthy lifestyle for the doctor is the antithesis of medical training with its long hours of study and floor work with little time to eat and sleep. Exercise, besides walking the floors in the hospital, is often neglected due to shear lack of time.

Yet, when we evaluate medical training, consideration to the lifestyle and lifeand career satisfaction is NEVER even touched upon.

Honest and forthright is seen as an important trait, yet when doctors are honest about certain health hazards like the role a particular patient/client's obesity in their illness, it is frowned upon.

Unbiased? There are so many ways to tackle a condition and every healthcare professional is trained a different way and that includes those in alternative and complementary fields. One knows what they know and doctors are trained to know it well. So of course, you will be biased towards what you know best. This is part of the human psyche and doctors are human although society expects them to perform like God many times.

Should doctors be declared non profits & not have to pay expenses? =>Why must medical care be provided for free?

Should doctors be declared non profits & not have to pay expenses? =>Why must medical care be provided for free? | Doctor Data | Scoop.it
That is a reasonable question but one that no one in authority has the ability or honesty to address. Ethics, philosophy, and politics don't mix.

Dr Veronica Note:

Under Obamacare, Medicare beneficiaries get more services for free. Women get more services for free. What this translates to is that providers get paid much less. The fees are already low and many times do not cover the cost of providing a service let alone leave enough extra to pay the provider for rendering the service.

This is why many doctors are shuttering their practices or planning to. The spetic man expects payment immediately. Yet we have expected that doctors provide service and many times they never get any compensation.

The Power of a First (Website) Impression In The Blink Of An Eye [INFOGRAPHIC]

The Power of a First (Website) Impression In The Blink Of An Eye [INFOGRAPHIC] | Doctor Data | Scoop.it

Have you ever wondered which elements of your website make the biggest impression? The following infographic is based on a recent eye-tracking study conducted by the Missouri University of Science and Technology depicting:

Marty Note
We know, if we didn't already suspect, from Gladwell's Blink we have seconds before entire worlds are built in our visitors' minds. This infographic about first impressions is fascinating and helpful.

Viewing these stats should rebound all the way to how you design a homepage. If you have seconds what can you convey? Less than you are trying to pitch by at least half (lol). Time to get out Occam's Razor and get a good close shave. Remember Google's clean, sparse lines and cut away things no one is gong to "see" anyway.
