Within hours of the attack in Nice last Thursday, Damien Allemand, a journalist from the local newspaper Nice Matin who happened to be at the scene shared his horrific experience on Medium and Tweeted the post. At the time of writing, at least 8,500 news organisations from all over the world had quoted his words. While social media has increasingly become a source of news for our audience, so it has for reporters - bringing new challenges.
