i feel that when a divorce happens, the people who are most impacted are the divorcee's children as when a child sees his/her parents seperating, it will create a lifelong scar in them.

It is interesting how 6 months into the year with 32 divorces in total so far Uganda looks at their marriage situation as one in crisis.  It is quite a diverse picture from the U.S. where tens of thousands of divorces occur each year.  Yet blaming improper upbringing on the problem seems an old notion that people are often quick to jump to.

A parent or even extended family cannot realistically control the behavior or values that some of the younger members of the family may have if those younger members do not accept the teachings and morals that have been placed before them.

Reasonable efforts at proper upbringing are what we can expect in today's more modern culture, but proper upbringing does not insure or guarantee adherence to the standard exemplified by the parents or grandparents or both if there are competing values being taught, shown in the media, or even as demonstrated by those around us who for whatever reason we may place a value on their actions even if they go totally against the family upbringing.
