It’s a trend that’s become all too familiar to brick-and-mortar retailers this holiday season: A customer comes into the store, checks out a product — and then buys it online for less. Often, the consumer looks up ecommerce websites’ prices for comparison on a smartphone while they’re still standing right in the shop.
