".. the ‘kemp model’ in Instructional Designing, has broken the shackles of confinement and inter-dependability and thus gave the designers the much needed freedom in designing an effective instructional process. Therefore, it has become one of the most widely used models in the field of ‘ID’ or ‘Instructional Designing’.
Even though mentioned as ‘kemp model’, many literature refer to the model as Morrison, Rose and Kemp model or ‘MRK model’. In this model, there are nine elements of the ID process and all nine elements are enclosed in two ovals. The outer oval contains the overall steps in ‘Planning’, ‘project management’, ‘Support services’ and ‘Summative evaluations’. The inner oval includes, ‘Revision’ and ‘Formative evaluation’. These two highlight the fact that these steps needs to be followed through out the process of ID, and it will be a constant evaluation and revision till all the elements are finalized."
