Discrimination in the US Prison System
The main purpose of the topic "Discrimination in the US Prison System" is to make people realize how much of the US prison sytem that people of color occupy when they only represent a small precentage of the US population. The numbers may suprise some but they ring true. The criminal justice system tends to focus more on people of color committing a crime than their white counterpart. The US criminal justice system severly discriminates against people of color and it is greatly shown in the percentage of colored people compared to whites that reside in prison.
