The flood warning is in effect until 4:15 this afternoon and follows a previously issued flash flood watch for the region. An additional half inch of rain is expected to fall this afternoon.

WHO assistant director-general Dr. Bruce Aylward says if the response to the Ebola crisis isn't stepped up within 60 days, "a lot more people will die" and there will be a huge need on the ground to deal with the spiraling numbers of cases. He said WHO estimated there could up to 10,000 cases per week in two months.

A line of strong storms moved into the Borderland Sunday night bringing widespread and heavy rain, gusts to 45mph, plenty of lightning and pea sized hail to the area. The same storm system that brought us the storms Sunday night will linger over the area and more storms are expected Monday.  Cloud to ground lightning and strong gusts are the main concerns with these storms, as well as flash flooding with already saturated ground.
