The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), a scientific agency of the U.S. government, is tasked in part with researching natural disasters and getting the word out when they hit. At least four people were killed overnight as a line of tornadoes marched across the Midwest, hitting places like the tourist hub of Branson.
