This video is a cartoon based on helping students to stay safe on the internet. This video is a great way for students to understand that there are all sorts of people out there on the internet and when you are talking to someone they may not always be the person they say they are. This touches on the Australian Curriculum digital technologies knowledge and understandings strand by helping students to understand the importance of using information systems safetly.

As part of the Australian Curriculum in the Early Years, a large part of the Digital Technologies (draft) is for sutdents to work with others to organise and create ideas and information in the form of text, images and audio using information systems, and share these with known people on safe online environments (Australian Curriculum, 2013). This publishing resource is a fantastic way for students to do just that.

ABC Print is an app that I have previously used in the Early Years Classroom. This app is fantastic at supporting students use of digital technology along with helping students who struggle with their letters. As part of the Australian Curriculum: Digital Technologies it states that students should identify, explore and use digital systems for personal and classroom needs. This application is perfect for the English within the classroom. Highly recommended.

Early ICT provides teachers with a huge variety of teacher resources along with ICT and technology activities and resources that they may use within the classroom. The Australian Curriculum for Technology explains that students learn best through play in the early Years; this website truely has some remarkable activities to get students started with the use of ICT's. It provides activities that involve not only the computer but digital cameras, voice recorders, microphones, CD's, simple paint programs, Interactive White Board and digital microscope. Wonderful site for Early Years teachers looking to incorporate ICT's into their classroom.

Springboard is another software program that I have used previously. This program allows students to read books on the computer along with providing students with the opportunity to have the book read to them, allowing students to click on words that they struggle to read, and to find the definitions of these words. This is a great program to use within the classroom as it provides a range of reading levels for students. Fantastic program to use on the interactive whiteboard within the classroom.
