This passage struck me: "We desperately need a discipline whose sole purpose is to investigate, experiment, and create meanings for this new electronic world of information. That is the role of the digital humanities today." 

Am I being too simplistic when I say that libraries and librarians already provide this discipline? Maybe I'm reading this wrong but I am struck by what this writer calls Digital Humanities and where this concept is in relation to libraries.
