Grouping allows you to make two or more PowerPoint objects into a single ‘grouped’ object that you can more easily move around and manage on your slide.

Those who have tried using lots of objects (images, clipart, graphics) in their PowerPoint presentations and discovered they all seemed scattered around, may not have known the "art" of grouping the objects so that they can't move.

I constantly see video "gurus" telling people to just insert all your script text into PowerPoint slides, read it aloud while recording, and...BAM!...instant video!


I've always contended that this is a questionable strategy at best for delivering a visual message. Here is one of the leading presentation experts on the planet explaining part of my contention.

Another app with which to create slides. SketchDeck could be useful for those in engineering, IT etc where visually describing complex ideas makes them easier to comprehend - especially if the visual is schmick.

Where is Slide Master in PowerPoint 2007, 2010 and 2013 | Digital Presentations in Education |

Classic Menu for PowerPoint adds a Menus tab between File tab and Home tab. This tab will bring us back to the world of Microsoft PowerPoint 2003. If you have Classic Menu for PowerPoint 2007, 2010 and 2013, you can get Slide Master as before:

1. Select the View drop down menu in main menus tab;

2. Move you mouse onto Master item;

3. Click the Slide Master item.
