Recite - turn your quote into a picture

Recite - turn your quote into a picture | Digital Presentations in Education |

Recite - turn a quote into a masterpiece.

Baiba Svenca's insight:

A cool little tool that easily makes a picture using your quote (either your own or someone else's). There are background templates (though not very many) to choose from. You only have to type the quote, click on Create and...voilà, you have an image which you can insert in your presentation to add a nice touch.

Above you can see an example made by me.

Nina Fishman's curator insight, July 27, 2013 11:21 AM

Communicates to the whole brain and expands  the impact of the quote.

Remove Any Image Background With Clipping Magic

Remove Any Image Background With Clipping Magic | Digital Presentations in Education |
Clipping Magic is a free web app for quickly and easily removing image backgrounds.

When using images for PowerPoint presentations, blog posts and other projects, one may require removing their background so that they may blend in with the colors of your presentation slide, blog or canvas.  However, removing a background image isn’t easy and being a PRO at PhotoShop is not possible for everyone.

Baiba Svenca's insight:

Clipping Magic is a very useful free tool for removing image backgrounds.

The post takes you through the process of the background removal. No doubt this is a very handy tool.

Baiba Svenca's insight:

Pixntell is a great app for iPhone and iPad that lets you create video slideshows from your images and add your voice comments.

Basic version is free (5 images only), for $ 0.99 you can use up to 70 photos.

Upgrading allows you to add blank slide between photos with text.

Stephan Hughes's curator insight, June 17, 2013 7:08 PM

Looks like a great tool - I hope there is an Android version of it.

LearningDevelopment@ForthValleyCollege's curator insight, June 18, 2013 7:35 AM

Studying is not the intended function of this application, however, by uploading lecture slides as images, or taking pictures of the board during class, then uploading these images to Pixntell, would allow you to create your very own custom Flashcards. By recording your own audio notes to accompany the images, you could create short movies that could act as bitesize recap tools to support your revision, or prompts for studying, or a visual plan for your coursework.
