Mediasite! If you haven't heard...better look into it! Stop doing Face to Face PD only!!!

Mediasite! If you haven't heard...better look into it! Stop doing Face to Face PD only!!! | Cool Edubytes for Teachers! | Scoop.it
Sonic Foundry is the creator of Mediasite, the leading web communications and content management system for lecture capture, event webcasting and online knowledge management.
Scott Holcomb's insight:

Since 2007 I have been a user and fanboy of this lecture capture solution in my Urban, Public School district. We began capturing our small but strong group of Instructional Technologist's "knowledge" and sharing it with our district's teachers,  admins and staffers simply because it made sense, both Educationally and Fiscally! We even convinced our district to start thinking and shifting mindsets from Face to Face only to a hybrid approach as well as taking restricted view content to the masses to be a "learn at your pace/your time- on demand" district to include the Business Ops side of the district. We continue to build upon the backbone of this solution and currently we are moving towards blended learning in our schools and using this to capture student's helping students. We will continue to use it as a PD container but I have some really out of the box ideas for more integration with our students and teachers! Again, if you haven't looked into the "Leader in Video Content Management" and an all around PreK-12 Education Savvy company that always goes above and beyond our needs- check them out!

Maybe...I'll get a t-shirt or sticker for this write up!

But seriously, as a Nerdy/Geeky do it myself Educator- I do really enjoy using this solution! Feel free to ask my why!
