This summer, take a break from watching television and playing video games and learn to make a movie instead! Tell a story, collaborate with others, learn the basics of video production, produce a movie that will air on cable television AND become a well-informed, critical-thinking media consumer - all in two weeks!
AIM’s Video Production Camp is for youth ages 9-13. Working together, along with the guidance of specialized instructors and media professionals, participants will develop a script, shoot footage, and edit their own short video. In the process, they will be introduced to the basic concepts of media literacy and critical thinking.
At AIM, we want to change the way youth relate to media. We teach skills that transform youth from passive consumers of media to active creators of media. AIM Video Production Camp will not only give kids the technical and creative skills needed to produce video, but it will also help them become more critical consumers of media.
