Apple CarPlay has been adopted by select Mercedes, Volvo, Ferrari, Honda and Hyundai cars in 2014 and looks to be rolled out more widely in 2015. This will increase the relevance and accessibility of podcasts so perhaps it's worth re-visiting the role of audio content in your strategy.
