64 Google+ Content Strategies | Copyblogger

64 Google+ Content Strategies | Copyblogger | Digital Marketing Fever | Scoop.it

Google+ isn’t only a social network. It’s the very backbone (and future) of Google itself. As Brian Clark wrote yesterday, authorship and the possible effects on the Google algorithm have the potential to be extremely beneficial to savvy content creators. If you’re a writer, this is either going to be very good for your career, or you’ll risk becoming relatively invisible online.

If you’d like to land solidly in the former camp of writers, the question becomes one of how to use Google+ to further your own goals. With that in mind, I’ve put together an infographic for you that outlines 64 strategies that every writer and content producer can put into action, and start reaping the rewards of intelligently engaging with Google+....

You're welcome Ken. It was an eye opener and great G+ tips. Glad it was helpful.

Infographic is a mess but the article info on G+ is excellent with lots of helpful tips. My fave: use recorded Hangouts to interview people in your field. They will be stored on YouTube and can function as informative posts.

I'm going to pay attention to this one, if only because Google seems to be corralling even my Blogger site into Google+.  This is also why iGoogle is going away, I'm sure of it.

G+ is catching up big time for many reasons.  Among these reasons is the Hangout integration.

We just facilitated a remote 1.5 day leadership development session with Hangouts and it was fantastic.

Google is sticking to their strategy and their value is starting to win people over.  I was never a fan and, through valuable features, I am changing my perspective on the suite of offerings.

This is a relevant infographic.

Syncing Your Google Plus and +Local Pages: Plusses and Minuses | Mihmorandum | Digital Marketing Fever | Scoop.it

I’m not necessarily saying anyone should do this right now, as the implications of syncing / switching over completely to a Google +Local page are still unclear.  But, since I have virtually stopped taking on new clients for my consulting business in order to focus the vast majority of my time on GetListed, I decided to experiment with the new verification process for David Mihm Web Design / Local SEO.  So, for those of you still on the fence, perhaps the following before-and-after walkthrough will help you decide whether it’s right for your business to sync yet.

10 Dead Simple Tips to Take Advantage of Google+ for SEO

10 Dead Simple Tips to Take Advantage of Google+ for SEO | Digital Marketing Fever | Scoop.it

It's no secret. When engineers built Google+, they constructed an SEO juggernaut to dominate search results above all other social platforms. Although Facebook and Twitter are essential to marketing efforts, both restrict Google from accessing much of their data. This limits their SEO effectiveness.

It seems ironic. While social media wants users to put their whole lives online the social media networks themselves seek privacy. That should be some useful insight to Internet Users. imho

Social Media Tools That Support Google+: Solutions for Small Business

Social Media Tools That Support Google+: Solutions for Small Business | Digital Marketing Fever | Scoop.it

Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn can be found in the majority of social media management apps. It is with Google+ that things get a little bit more complicated: very few social media tools support it due to some technical challenges.

However, most social media managers would prefer a solution that would allow them posting to all social networks in one place, Google+ including.

In this post, you’ll find reference to all tools that are to date integrated with Google+. We’ll bring small business editions to a special focus and review social tools that (1) support Google+ and (2) the ones you can use for free or under $10 a month.

Thank You Martin. Yes, Hootsuite and other similar sites truly lower the barriers of entry into biz. Very Good strategy I may add.

I love it! Although I have a Google+ account, I rarely use it, and definitely need to tweak it.  I especially enjoy how Google+ ranks posts based on content - this, I beleive, will force brands to generate/create content - actual good content and not those 'pamphlet look at my company' type posts.  After all, it should always be about generating, creating, and sharing engaging content that people will truly enjoy.

All these different social media platforms are equally important, but in their own respects.  It is important to understand what type of content you are creating and sharing goes to which social media platform - the LAST thing that should be done is take the same post and just blast it across all SM platforms, instead of taking that piece of great content that you have, and tailoring it for each specific SM platform and outlet.
