Curate and Create Learning Resources

If we want to have students seek out other information from sources other than the teacher, then we must make sure those resources are available. Many teachers using the flipped classroom approach already have created or found these kinds of resources. However, think broadly about the word resource.

People are resources, texts are resources, and community organizations are resources -- to name just a few categories. We have to be comfortable not always knowing the answer, and instead suggesting we find the answer together through the vast amount of learning resources that we have at our disposal.

Try curating these resources before, during, and after a unit. Work with students as well to create a culture where the answers are everywhere.

I agree that most of the interview question goals are to find out:

1.  Can you do the job/are you within our salary range

2.  Are you professional

3.  Are you are the right for the department and organizational culture

After you read the article, do you have other interview questions you wondered why that question was asked?

If so, we would love to hear from you!

---If you have any questions, comments, or best practices about careers or leadership…I am on it!  My goal is to share thoughts, tools, and inspriation to help you leverage your strengths, and help you achieve your goals!  I am grateful and so fortuante to travel the world as a speaker and coach.  I get to work with some of the best in class organizations, and I love to pass along lessons I learn from you to others.

Until next time....PS - Live on Purpose!

Would you like to be happier? Nobody says no to that question, which is why the massive self-help industry continues to flourish—but is happiness really the goal we should be striving for?

‘I’d like to think about happiness as less of being that sort of over-caffeinated, extremely jolly, big smiley face approach to life, which actually in many cases is really unrealistic, and much more about having a meaningful, fulfilled life in which you are connected to your sense of purpose, your values, connected to who you are,’ says Anthony Grant, director of the Coaching Psychology Unit at the University of Sydney.

‘That certainly doesn’t exclude bad times in your life. So I like to think of happiness as really the life well lived.’

It's that time of the week to further our understanding of educational technology by learning the industry's  'jargon.' Let's add another term to our edtech vocab, and for this week, it's Adaptive Learning.

Adaptive learning implements a more dynamic set of learning paths compared to a standard 'static' curriculum. The defining detail of adaptive learning is that it's data-driven.
