Painting With Lights: Ephemeral Street Art Created with a Digital Projector | Digital Design Art &Photography | Scoop.it

Phillip Echaroux desired to give something back to his hometown of Marseille, and he found that the projector could provide a way for him to gift back his talent.

Throughout the beautiful coastal city, Echaroux projected portraits and designs on street walls, buildings, trees and hillsides. Some of the projections extended larger than 300 feet and could be seen from great distances.

Graphic Design Inspiration - Animals from History

Graphic Design Inspiration - Animals from History | Digital Design Art &Photography | Scoop.it

"This week’s graphic design inspiration highlights the work of Christina Hess and her Animals From History illustration series. Christina studied illustration at the University of the Arts and since then, has worked as an illustrator and designer. She likes to draw and paint ornate things, which meant eventually she would have stumbled on the Animals from History idea displayed below and we’re glad that she did."

These illustrations show cats and dogs as they would have appeared in art history. Dogs dressed up as pirates and cats as queens makes for an adorable series that are somehow both realistic and silly all at once.

How to Use Micro-Blogging to Gain New Visitors

How to Use Micro-Blogging to Gain New Visitors | Digital Design Art &Photography | Scoop.it

Via Ally Greer
Lori Wilk's insight:

I am a Twitter fan and have sent out more than 20,000 Tweets to date.To get more followers you want to microblog good content and mention others as well as use relevant #hashtags to track the conversations. What I have learned most recently by curating , creating, and sharing content is that there will be many people who understand that to scale this social participation requires sending out lots of Tweets and I am totally happy with the un-follows as much as the follows because those who want my help and like what I am about and have to offer will be there with me and those who don't can find the groups they want to be part of or none at all. I know what it's like in the real world to have fans from being a television producer and building an audience from scratch. My microblogging is authentic and I don't buy followers. It's impossible to recognize and promote hundreds of people without sending out lots of Tweets, especially if you want to give them Klout or Kred. I am dedicated to moving the needle of online influence and this means lots of participating online especially with microblogging such as Twitter. I welcome more followers on Twitter at Successipes and in knowing more about what you are doing that is awesome so I can share it with the world. Stop the Nonsense! Innovation is a Discipline.

Stop the Nonsense! Innovation is a Discipline. | Digital Design Art &Photography | Scoop.it

For most firms, innovation is more a slogan or aspiration than a managed practice. Below, Jay Rao shows that for the best companies, innovation is a set of practices and attitudes built into daily work and long-term thinking, and argues that organisations should start treating innovation as a real discipline.

Via Roger Francis
Lori Wilk's insight:

It helps to understand that having discipline and a system and a process to move ideas into innovative actions. It's not by accident and it's not a random happening that allows companies to consistently innovate.
