Amy Cuddy: Your body language shapes who you are | Video on TED.com

TED Talks Body language affects how others see us, but it may also change how we see ourselves.
Emilie van Os's insight:
Interesting insight into body language and how a simple adjustment can change the way we feel.As someone who is currently making my way into the big scary world of work  I found this extremely interesting and will be trying some of Amy Cuddy’s suggestions.

"Don't fake it till you make it. Fake it till you become it.” (Amy Cuddy)

hitRECord

HITRECORD is an open-collaborative production company, and this website is where we make things together.
Emilie van Os's insight:

HitRECord is an online community where creative people (from video editors, musicians, animators, writers, illustrators) can come and collaborate with each other to produce exciting new artistic ventures. I really like the community feel of this website it is inspiring and therefore more productive to be around other creative minds. The website also features “Remixing” where work, or elements of a work, can be selected and edited to create a different and new outcome. Great place to find creative projects and see the inspiring potential of its members.

It's not clickable for me. I'm too old to read printing that small and too lazy to change my web browser settings for just one item.

A place for sharing plans and ideas to make them happen | PlanBig | Digital Degustation | Scoop.it
Got a big idea that you want to bring to life? Create a plan, share it and make it happen with help from the PlanBig community.
Emilie van Os's insight:

An online community that allows people to post their big ideas, whatever the inspiration, and find people with the skills to help them make it a reality. The line “nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something” says it all. We can all be dreamers!

Inspiration | The Daily Sketches of Guy Denning

Inspiration | The Daily Sketches of Guy Denning | Digital Degustation | Scoop.it
Every single day since November 2010, without fail, Bristol-based artist Guy Denning (previously) posts a daily sketch to his Drawing a Day blog (occasionally mirrored on his Facebook page). It’s well worth following.

Via Mark Strozier
Emilie van Os's insight:

I have heard many artists suggest to create one piece of work per day to keep developing your skills and allow it to become second nature. This practice is also meant to help keep the creativity coming, as even if you hate it and you know for a fact you can do better work you know that you have faced the fear and created. And as an artistic type I can say that first step can often be the hardest part. Guy Denning is a great example of the beautiful result of this process....
