in affiliate marketing, the advantage really goes to the product owner. Let the affiliates do all the hard work?

Rakesh Raghuvanshi's comment, August 2, 2013 4:00 AM
"the power of One " when all affiliate partners +publisher partners come together to drive each other and grow the ecosystem brands and the Affiliates get to speak as ONE and cross promotions and visibility increases and there is synergy in brand speak building credibility and expanding reach . But the big challenge is to manage such a large numbers of affiliates and Publishers ..and to address that is single platform which gives the brand owners the same Tools and the Rules for the brands to manage paid , earned and owned content to drive , search , local , mobile audience through contextual content and increasing the relationships life-cycle

White Paper: Sustainability and the C-suite | Sustainable Industries | Digital Content and Strategy | Scoop.it

Who's engaged, who's not, and how to gain more C-level support

William Newman's insight:

Earlier this year Principal Cindy Jennings and I were debating what should be done to address the issue of CXO engagement in a number of key strategic initiatives, including sustainability and corresponding triple bottom- line business practices. Given our education and consulting work over the past three years, we found sustainability just wasn’t sticking with mid-tier and large businesses as organizations exited the Great Recession and began to build and grow. The sustainability lexicon simply wasn’t in the board room. Given Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) companies show 7-25% performance gains over their peers, it seemed to us that many CXOs weren’t getting the “sustainability is good for the bottom-line” message. Why a gap?

The COO emergest as an unsung hero in sustainability efforts, while the CFO and CIO remain largely unengaged.

William Newman's insight:

As we begin to crunch the numbers for our findings of the CXO Engagement Study sponsored by Newport Consulting Group and University of Oregon’s Sustainability Leadership Program, we can now begin to take a step back and gauge where we thought sustainability was falling down inside organizations and what can be done to make sustainability strategies more strategic with the help of the right people inside of the C-suite.

The Pros and Cons of Prezi presentations

When the CEO's presentation is approaching or a company's event is occurring, and if you think power point is boring... Take a look at our Prezi presentation...
William Newman's insight:

Prezi can really brighten up a presentation. However when Prezi files get stuck - as what happened to a colleague at a TEDx event - you can't easily back out of them like classic PowerPoint. So pick your venue carefully and always have a backup plan.

Prezi isn't new but it is still pretty innovative. I recommend using just to stick out from the PowerPoint crowd. You will really stick out if you use it as creatively as they did in this video.

Google Unloads Motorola Mobility | Multichannel.com

Google Unloads Motorola Mobility | Multichannel.com | Digital Content and Strategy | Scoop.it
In a deal that further unravels Google’s original $12.5 billion acquisition of Motorola Mobility in 2012, Google announced Wednesday that it will sell Moto’s smartphone business to China’s Lenovo for $2.91 billion in cash and stock.Lenovo, known for its PC prowess, reasons that the deal will strengthen its growing smartphone business, giving it a strong presence in North America and Latin America and a foothold in Western Europe.Under the deal, Lenovo will pay $1.41 billion ($660 million in cash and $750 million in Lenovo shares), with the remaining $1.51 billion coming in the form of a three-year promissory note.Lenovo, which bought IBM’s PC business and ThinkPad brand in 2005, is getting the Motorola brand and trademark portfolio, and Motorola Mobility’s lineup of phones, including the Moto X, Moto G and Droid Ultra series. It's also taking ownership of Moto’s product device roadmap.Google, meanwhile, keeps the bulk of Motorola Mobility’s patent portfolio, including current patent applications and invention disclosures, which all served as they big reason why Google wanted Motorola Mobility in the first place – to protect Google and Android from lawsuits from other suppliers in the mobile device and software ecosystem. Lenovo, in turn, will get a license to Google’s patents and intellectual property, and receive "over 2,000 patent assets" from Google. The sale should allow Google to focus on the Android platform while also removing a part of its business that competed with companies that make Android-powered smartphones. Last April, Google closed the $2.35 billion sale of its cable-focused Motorola Home unit to Arris. Google held onto a 7.7% stake in Arris, but doesn't have a board seat.“Lenovo has the expertise and track record to scale Motorola Mobility into a major player within the Android ecosystem. This move will enable Google to devote our energy to driving innovation across the Android ecosystem, for the benefit of smartphone users everywhere,” Google CEO Larry Page said, in a statement.Click headline to read more--
