Infographic: The 4 Steps to Social Media Marketing

Infographic: The 4 Steps to Social Media Marketing | Digital Communication and Innovations | Scoop.it
One of Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is to Begin with the End in Mind.

This infographic does just that – recognizing that you need to establish your goals first when looking to your social media marketing strategy.

It doesn’t simply speak about conversions – it speaks to the other business uses of social media: Brand Marketing, Thought Leaderhsip, Service and Sales Prospecting. Much of the strength of social media doesn’t come from the immediate push… it’s the echos and volume that are established over time.

SEO itself has always been somewhat of a barrier to entry for online success.

In other words, for a new person it’s so complex that it takes a long time to understand all the little things that search engines, Google specifically, are asking for. Time, capital, and energy are necessary to rank pages on the world’s most popular search engine.

Een nogal indrukwekkende lijst, maar waard om te bekijken.

All you need to do is follow that. I am amazed at how many small businesses think they can do it themselves.

9 Tips For Keeping Your Internet Use Private

9 Tips For Keeping Your Internet Use Private | Digital Communication and Innovations | Scoop.it

Many people are concerned about online privacy. And, conversely, many more are not, freely sharing any and everything on their favorite social networks, paying little attention to their mobile app settings, and happily letting Google track each keyword that they search.

It’s easy to get paranoid about all this stuff, but it does pay to be a little careful when using the internet, particularly when it comes to your personal safety. And while Twitter holds pride of place as one of the safest social networks, by taking the time to educate yourself on the security and privacy settings within your profile, being mindful of which third-party apps you allow access to your account and ensuring that you aren’t making it easy for burglars by constantly telling the world when you’re not at home, you can rest assured that you’re doing everything you can to keep your presence safe on Twitter.

This infographic proposes 9 tips for keeping your internet usage private.

[Infographic] Facebook Ad Performance by Industry

[Infographic] Facebook Ad Performance by Industry | Digital Communication and Innovations | Scoop.it

Ever wonder if your Facebook ads are performing better or worse than the industry standard for ROI – searching for some Facebook benchmarking data? What is the average CPM, CTR, CPC, the average cost per like, or average page like rate for your industry or business?

This graphic is based on data from Social.com’s study of 1 million ad units and over 114 billion impressions from January 1st to March 31st, 2013. The report analyzed the top 25 countries globally and top five countries per region based on impressions. All rates were converted to U.S. dollars using the average daily conversion rates during the reporting period.

You can use this data in many different ways – one of which is determining ROI of your Facebook Campaign to determine if social media is worth the ROI for your business.

How your ads rank on Facebook could have countless other reasons why it performs better or worse, ie - timing, image quality, messaging, target market, etc. Test on a relative basis with multiple ads.
