And the hits keep on coming for auto manufacturers on their vehicles (with their embedded systems) being hacked.  I would say that there is a missing element in the design community for this to happen.  Someone is not wearing the black hat (referring to DeBono's Six Hats) internally in these firms, or someone isn't listening to them.

Inspirational and simply a MUST read on how to digital transform your business one step at a time!

Many good points including:

"Don't forget, people are at the center of this change

Make no mistake, this is a very people-centric process. While technology can help get you where you want to go, it can't take the human element of emotion out of the process. People are going to be upended by such a complete process of change.

It's going to be confusing. People will get upset. Some will refuse to believe the change is happening. They will try to resist in direct and indirect ways, but the way we do business is really changing and people have to understand it will take new ways of working. "

Some very good insigths on digital transformation.

Interestingly according to the survey the biggest barrier to digital transformation is the lack of burning platform or sense of urgency. I wonder if those who answered like this are the ones standing on the beach wondering why the water has pulled back or the ones who has already climbed a good hill or mountain before the tsumani hits?

This is a fantastic post on the new operation model of successful companies. Here's a snack:

"Today’s fastest growing, most profoundly impactful companies are using a completely different operating model. These companies are lean, mean, learning machines. They have an intense bias to action and a tolerance for risk, expressed through frequent experimentation and relentless product iteration. They hack together products and services, test them, and improve them, while their legacy competition edits PowerPoint."
