Is Your Target Audience on Social Media Changing?

Is Your Target Audience on Social Media Changing? | Digital Brand Marketing | Scoop.it

Given this idealistic shift, the further findings of Acquity’s study become more understandable. For instance, Facebook has risen to be the most trusted outlet for “trusted” material from a brand, beating out published newspaper articles, YouTube, television, and company blogs (which were at the very bottom of consumer trust). Despite the widely ranging authority of content on Facebook, the frequency with which users interact with the platform, coupled with the convenience of it’s largely mobile existence, serves in place of traditional reliability when it comes to audience trust....

5 Trends from New Blogger Survey That Probably Won't Surprise You | Oracle Marketing Cloud

5 Trends from New Blogger Survey That Probably Won't Surprise You | Oracle Marketing Cloud | Digital Brand Marketing | Scoop.it

The survey included some of the most common questions asked by marketers beginning new blogs, like how often to blog and how long posts need to be. This is great data to benchmark your progress as you get started. There are a few more questions on the original post, as well as expert analysis on each one of the questions.

How Frequently are Bloggers Publishing?

There are more bloggers that are blogging 2-6 times per week, although that number is down slightly from last year. Both daily and weekly bloggers have increased since last year, and those are good targets to hit. If you are currently blogging a couple of times a month, try to get to weekly and if you are publishing a few days a week, see what it would take to get to daily. Ignore the 15% of bloggers that are blogging irregularly, because from a business perspective, you will see greater results by blogging regularly and more often. This doesn't mean publish just for the sake of publishing, but a regular cadence of solid posts will be more likely to catch on with your readers....

Why King Content Has Been Overthrown by Context

Why King Content Has Been Overthrown by Context | Digital Brand Marketing | Scoop.it

But how can the messaging strategy be effectively planned for the multimedia consumption of today's consumer?

Because of cross-device content possibilities, determining the collateral can seem daunting. Fortunately, attribution models are powerful aids in understanding the role of each channel.

Typically, a customer learns about the brand offline, through display ads or search. For longer purchase paths, social, email, and search appear again in the middle of the interactions. Direct traffic frequently closes the sale because, at this point, the customer is familiar with the brand and finds the website directly.

Let's see this with attribution and plan the content....

New marketing survey: It’s the trust, stupid | VentureBeat | Digital Brand Marketing | Scoop.it

If you listen to marketers and advertisers, the key to success these days is targeting. “The right ad to the right person at the right time” is the common mantra.

Nope, says a new survey from brand expert network Experticity, the 2015 Marketing Mix Survey. The key driver in making a sale is the trust possessed by a source of product information.

Conducted by ReRez Research, the survey finds that 83 percent of marketers think advertising — online, broadcast, and print — is effective in influencing buyer decisions. But less than half of consumers — 47 percent — trust or believe advertising....

5 Storytelling Techniques to Boost Business Communications

5 Storytelling Techniques to Boost Business Communications | Digital Brand Marketing | Scoop.it

How often does an interaction under the business communications umbrella lend itself to a full-blown story, the type with a beginning, an end and something going amiss in the middle that must be overcome? Maybe 10 percent of the time, and that’s probably high.

That’s why we use the term storytelling techniques in describing how the concepts of storytelling can be applied to business communications. It turns out that within the classic story arc, those who entertain like novelists and movie directors depend on certain techniques to bring their material to life....
