Fotor is a great web-based image editor that is particularly talented at creating photo-montages, image strips and boards, photo cards and other similar image compositions. The beauty of it is that Fotor connects directly to your Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, Instagram photo accounts, giving you the opportunity to easily find, drag and position your ideal images on the canvas. You can also upload images from your computer and easily crop, rotate or resize it. Fotor also allows to overlay and position any text messages on your final composition allowin you to create those effective "social flags" for your online fans. Fotor saves in JPG or PNG format and can post or upload directly your compositions to anyone of your connected social media accounts. My comment: Excellent image editor for creating image compositions and photo montages. Lots of features and options. Easy to use. Free to use. Try it out now: http://www.fotor.com/ Delete the scoop?

Polychart is a web-based app which allows you to connect to your database data (MySQL, SalesForce, PostgreSQL, InfoBright) and to generate professional-looking charts and graphs that can be edited interactively and that can be extensively customized. As far as source data is concerned, you can connect to any online MySQL, Salesforce, InfoBright or PostgreSQL database repository and connect directly to the existing data. Once you have connected your database you can select which fields you want to be visualized and you can customize the type of chart (bar, line, scatter, area, tile and spline) and the individual elements that make it up. Your final chart visualization can be easily exported to a PDF, PowerPoint, vector (.SVG) or image (.PNG) file. Free to use. Find out more: https://www.polychart.com/ Delete the scoop?

Sandra, I think it's interesting to ponder whether PR is only about marketing or whether our other perspectives are being undervalued in today's rush to content marketing and brand journalism.

Colleague Andrew Nemiccolo just wrote this terrific article on narrative transport, storytelling and how to really convey data to make it stick. I really like how he talks about narrative transport and how sharing data or information can't get youthere. Then he gives great tips for how to work with the data/information and 'storify' it -- either by finding stories to share about it or using storytelling elements to grab attention, keep people interested, and generate meaning. If you ever have to deal with data in your business -- and who doesn't -- then grab this article and use these tips!
