French artist Shaka (Marchal Mithouard) explores a wild intersection between painting, sculpture and graffiti with his colorfully explosive bas-relief sculptures that seem to cross from the canvas into reality. The aggressive human figures formed from a multitude of intertwined objects are partially inspired by the works of Caravaggio, Arcimboldo, and Van Gogh, all of whom the artists cites as influences in his work. Shaka had a recent solo show atSeize Gallery in Marseille, France and he has a number of prints available in his shop. Photographer Marie Aschehoug-Clauteaux also has a huge gallery of his works worth exploring.

How to Totally Suck at Marketing [Slideshow]

How to Totally Suck at Marketing [Slideshow] | digital art and media | Scoop.it

Are you partying ... I mean marketing ... like it's 1999? Unfortunately, many of the marketing tactics that were considered best practices 15 years ago are actually indications of crappy marketing today. And while we generally use our blog to give marketers advice and provide helpful tips, how-to's, and information about the latest trends so they can do marketing that doesn't suck, sometimes it's also helpful to understand what "bad" means so you know exactly what to avoid -- and create marketing people love instead!

So if you're curious about what you should be doing to totally suck at marketing, the following slideshow will show you the way. Just don't say we never told you so ...

Quoting the interesting bits:

"The game will, as reports had suggested, build on the play mechanics of Avalanche Software’s Toy Story 3: The Video Game that offered both a campaign and Toy Box game-maker modes.

More surprising is the inclusion of a comprehensive set of 30+ Disney Infinity toy figures. These characters, which usually span different Disney franchises, work in a similar way to Skylanders figures. Place them on the Infinity Base USB peripheral, Disney’s very own Portal of Power, and they provide instant access to characters in the game...."
