Great point about the effectiveness of videos in your B2B marketing strategy. I think the greatest point beyond the effectiveness of videos is that fact that you need to capture your audiences attention. Videos that fail to do so can often cause more harm than good as it disuades viewers from watching future videos.

Takes a bit before the article gets to the point but I think overall the idea is great. Are sales managers paying attention to who their sales reps are selling to? In my experience it seems like a lot of companies promote a process where there is a focus on quantity of leads rather than quality. They follow a process that says X calls = X appointments = X sales. Probably not the most profitable strategy...

Definitely makes a good point about building your brand using social media as it is much easier to connect to people who know who you are and what you are doing.

 

I would disagree however that social media can't be used for selling. I think you have to walk the fine line of making sure you aren't being obtrusive in people's lives. However, I think social media is an extremely valuable tool to connect with people who are searching for your business type or the products that you offer. In this case if someone finds you via Linked, Twitter, Facebook, or another avenue you want to make sure that you make a convincing argument for why you?
