Εισήγηση από τη 2η ημέρα (17/10/2015) στην 4η Διημερίδα Καθηγητών Πληροφορικής Δυτικής Ελλάδας.

Περιγραφή παρουσίασης: Το Πανελλήνιο Σχολικό Δίκτυο (ΠΣΔ), μέσω του επίσημου site για την ελληνική εκπαιδευτική κοινότηταhttp://internet-safety.sch.gr εντείνει την προσπάθεια ενημέρωσης μαθητών, εκπαιδευτικών και γονιών σε θέματα ασφαλούς πλοήγησης στο Διαδίκτυο μέσω της συνεργασίας με το αντίστοιχο European Schoolnet (EUN) στην ετικέτα πιστοποίησης eSafety Label. 
Η ετικέτα Ψηφιακής Ασφάλειας ενισχύει την εικόνα του σχολείου (νηπιαγωγείο, δημοτικό, Γυμνάσιο, Λύκειο) προς την κοινότητα, ενώ παρέχει επίσης συγκριτική αξιολόγηση με άλλα σχολεία σε τοπικό, εθνικό και κυρίως σε ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο. Ως τις 30/9/2015, 187 χάλκινες ετικέτες, 18 αργυρές και 1 χρυσή έχουν απονεμηθεί σε ελληνικά σχολεία. 
Αυτά τα 206 ελληνικά σχολεία μας κατατάσσουν στην 1η θέση πανευρωπαϊκά σταθερά από το 2013!

Ως τις 30/9/2015, 187 χάλκινες ετικέτες, 18 αργυρές και 1 χρυσή έχουν απονεμηθεί σε ελληνικά σχολεία. 
Αυτά τα 206 ελληνικά σχολεία μας κατατάσσουν στην 1η θέση πανευρωπαϊκά σταθερά από το 2013!

Bee-Bot is an exciting new robot designed for use by young children. This colorful, easy-to-operate, and friendly little robot is a perfect tool for teaching sequencing, estimation, problem-solving, and just having fun!

Sturdy construction and colorful design entice children to put Bee-Bot through its paces. Directional keys are used to enter up to 40 commands which send Bee-Bot forward, back, left, and right. Pressing the green GO button starts Bee-Bot on its way. Bee-Bot blinks and beeps at the conclusion of each command to allow children to follow Bee-Bot through the program they have entered and then confirms its completion with lights and sound. Children want to use Bee-Bot over and over and are inspired to enter ever more creative and complex command sequences.

Bee-Bot moves in 6” steps and 90º turns. Compact size and durable materials make Bee-Bot child- and classroom-friendly. Bee-Bot is equally adaptable to home and school environments and boosts enthusiasm for experimentation and learning wherever it is used. Bee-Bot is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. Recharging is done via a standard USB recharger or USB computer port. A USB recharger cable comes with each Bee-Bot.

In March, Tom Loveless, a fellow at the Brookings Institution, took an outdated swipe at the logic behind moving toward a student-centered learning system. He in essence suggested that because the curriculum wars have been decided more or less empirically, that people bent on disrupting the classroom and the factory-model education system were doing so under faulty assumptions about how students learn.

In his piece, he attacked the logic of teaching around multiple intelligences and pointed to some of the research that shows that tailoring learning opportunities to common assumptions around visual, auditory, and other such supposed learning styles are not good ways of teaching different students.

A problem with Loveless’s argument is that many of my fellow “disruptors” and I who think that it is important to disrupt the education system think this way not under the mindset that it will—or should—help with multiple intelligences or learning styles, but instead because of a simpler and more rigorously tested notion that is far less ideological than Loveless assumes.
