Dana Flores Hernandez's insight:

Expect the unexpected. When applied, the adage never fails to help one find a way out of everyday complications. Accidents can so easily occur and illness can strike at any moment. No one ever said it was easy juggling all aspects of life. You have to remain organized and equipped for whatever comes your way, especially when medical treatment may be required.

You can be faced with a difficult time when deciding on the best course of action. There are so many places and professionals that can make you feel that all they want is your money. You shouldn’t have to feel concerned about where to go or the motives of others when seeking treatment. You’ve got people to look out for, and that is the number one priority. Don’t waste your money on the often unnecessary and tiring process of filling out forms at the doctors office.

The iTriage app can help in the process of determining proper medical treatment by displaying medical facilities in your area. With an enhanced symptom checker, you can begin to assess the needed treatment and determine for yourself the best place to get it. Right from the app you can begin the necessary paperwork as well as store your important medical documents.

Figuring out what to do or where to go when faced with a medical issue doesn’t have to be complicated. Check out today’s infographic and learn how iTriage can help you save time and money, and live healthier.

Hydration and wrinkles.

Dana Flores Hernandez's insight:

Drinking plenty of water is an essential compound that fuels the body to function well. Also, you are preventing signs of aging when you hydrate your body. Get rid of the metabolic wastes by drinking plenty of fluids. You don’t want your skin to dry up, flake and wrinkle so take at least 8 to ten glasses of water a day. This, however, varies based on the climate, your activity and for presence of medical conditions.

The many uses for Olive Oil.

The many uses for Olive Oil. | Did you know? | Scoop.it
Dana Flores Hernandez's insight:

Olive Oil [infographic]

Today’s infographic features the almighty olive oil, known to some as oil of the gods. Olive oil first originated in Ancient Greece, where the olive tree was often referred to as “the tree that feeds the children,” and has been highly sought after ever since.

Today, most of us have a sleek bottle of this highly praised oil sitting in our kitchens at home, usually next to the stove. A lot of people will stand on their soapboxes and proclaim the health benefits of this rich and ancient oil, but not everyone knows about the oil’s multitude of uses.

Sophia Loren swears by it as a part of her daily beauty regimen, and Rachel Ray coined the abbreviation EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) because of the frequency of the oil’s appearance on her show. Generally, we cook with it, even if some argue that adding heat to olive oil decreases its nutritional value. We can sauté, brown, stir-fry, deep fry, or even add this delicious oil to homemade hummus, pesto, pizza–you name it! But, did you know it can also act as a make-up remover, sore throat soother, floor and furniture polish, lice remover, moisturizer, fuel, and so much more?!

There’s certainly a reason for olive oil’s cult following. Check out today’s infographic and look up some homemade recipes to see just what this amazing oil can do for you; health wise, beauty wise, or something in between.

Daily Ingfographic recently released Videology's infographic regarding beauty consumer habits in their infographic "Buying Habits of the Beauty Shopper".

Interesting trends to note here are that 24% of consumers find out about new beauty products through friends/word of mouth, but television is the form of advertising that most influences these consumers to buy a new beauty/grooming product.

Additionally, 37% of women between the ages of 18 - 44 find out most about new beauty/grooming products by reading online reviews/blogs.

Avon Lash Guide.

Avon Lash Guide. | Did you know? | Scoop.it
Dana Flores Hernandez's insight:

Q: How can I get a smoother mascara application?
A:There are two reasons why your mascara may be clumping.
The first is application. If you load the brush with too much product, it builds up on the lashes and inevitably causes clumping. To avoid mascara overload, wrap a tissue around the brush and gently squeeze off any excess. You'll notice a smoother, more even application every time.
Excessive clumping is also a sign that it's time to replace your mascara.

A tip for when you open your new tube: don't pump the wand in and out. Every time you pump, you're introducing air into the tube, which dries out the product and results in clumping. Instead, swirl the wand in the tube and pull it out.
This technique evenly distributes the product around the brush applicator and helps to keep the product fresher-and clump-free-longer.
