Trattachino Restaurant in Wantagh Long Island is the brainchild of Executive Chef Joe Balbo . Chef Joe although young in years (26) has been in love with fine food and cooking since his early childhood. Trained in fine cooking in Italy and the U.S. Joe has created an exciting prototype restaurant in a small strip mall in Wantagh, with two more Trattachino restaurants to follow over the next 6 months. Trattachino offers fine locally grown produce, meat and fish, beautifully prepared and presented by a young. knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. The evening I visited Trattachino, I sampled an amazing tasting of: Bronzini, American Kobe Beef, Pasta with delightful aromatic sauces in two varieties, Duck, Braised Beef, and gourmet pizza. The fantastic part of the story is that all of this food is priced so that every family can enjoy upscale, healthy dining at prices that are affordable. The restaurant has been packed since day one and offers ample parking, a spacious bar with an indoor waterfall, and music on select nights. It is both comfortable.and sophisticated. Well worth the trip, and highly recommended.*--
