Free insulin clinic?
I have noticed in the news that there is a refurbished RV being used as a clinic for the delivery of methadone to addicts in HRM to make it easier for them to come off drugs.
This seems like a worthwhile effort to many, and be assured that I have every sympathy for anyone suffering from addictions.
But what about Type 1 diabetics? They are, in a sense, addicted to insulin — they must have it to LIVE. Where is the clinic for them to go and get free insulin? Doesn’t anyone care about them?
Life isn’t fair, I guess. Insulin and the treatment of this horrible disease are not important enough for our politcians to get involved in this fight.
