Awesome site! robust tools! These graphic outlines provide  practice in two important skills for students with language or organizational challenges. First the organizers provide an external structured process and product for students with a need to break complex composition and communication tasks down into smaller steps. Second--as students use these outlines, they become 'internalized' --a cognitive tool equipping them with a ready made schema that increases comprehension of what they hear and read. --Lou

Using comic strips is one powerful way to get students excited and motivated about the writing act. Students love to interact with visuals and tools such as the ones listed below will empower them to do just that. Using these comic strip generators , students will get  to engage in conversations using cartoonic characters and build stories and share their works with each other.

Ness Crouch's curator insight, March 28, 7:45 PM

Read E.B. White's poignant explanation for writing Charlotte's Web | Developing the writer | Scoop.it
One of the greatest children's books ever written, E.B. White's Charlotte's Web is notable not just for its lovely prose but for its masterful handling of themes on death and dying. In a letter written to his editor a few weeks before the book's publication, White explains why a peculiar truth about farms makes them such appropriate spaces for exploring the concept of death, and how this moved him to write the book in the first place.

Exposure to why writers write can help inspire and develop writing in our students.

Judith Morais's insight:

TodaysMeet is a great way to encourage online discussions in the classroom. it works on a similar format as twitter but much easier to control. Students need the address to join your room. After adding their own name, they can begin sharing their thoughts. There is a word limit so that keeps everyone focused on being concise.

Easy to use and free!

A tester !

A lire ici : http://sco.lt/7H4SPJ
