Play to Your Strengths: 3 Steps to Building a Business that Thrives

Play to Your Strengths: 3 Steps to Building a Business that Thrives | Develop Work Priorities | Scoop.it

How exactly do you step up and into the role of a successful entrepreneur or a small business owner and grab hold of the myriad of opportunities just waiting to be discovered? By playing to your strengths. Playing to your strengths allows you to free up your time, energy and focus from doing things you’re not great at...So, here are my 3 steps to building a business that thrives:
 - Step One: Identify the work you’re brilliant at: Take some time to really identify where your business needs you most in order to thrive, not just survive. Create a list that includes all the things you do in your business where you’re recognized for your unique brilliance...Focusing only on your brilliance work is not only the right thing for your business financially, but you’ll be happier and more profitable doing what you love to do.
 - Step Two: Document your systems and procedures: Taking the time to train someone will allow you to demonstrate exactly how you want things done... incorporate checks and balances so you can see how things are going.
 - Step Three: Delegate everything else: Once you’ve completed Steps 1 and 2, you’re ready to start the delegation process. If you don’t have a team yet, and you’re not quite ready to hire on a full time employee, I recommend getting started by either working with a virtual assistant or hiring a temp.
