5 Rules for Strategic #Partnerships in a #Digital World

5 Rules for Strategic #Partnerships in a #Digital World | Designing design thinking driven operations | Scoop.it
Rule 1. Never innovate alone.

Eric_Determined / Eric Silverstein's curator insight, December 23, 5:18 PM

"Both B2C and B2B companies are in an arms race to develop innovative user experiences, expand distribution, and capture new sources of monetization. Digital leaders are discovering that their future depends not just on what their own companies can do, but on the capabilities, functions, channels, and insights they can tap by partnering with others."

Do you agree?

Rule 1. Never innovate alone.

Rule 2. Understand that no single company has a lock on user preferences.

Rule 3. Focus first on a great user experience, not the value exchange.

Rule 4. Strike the right balance between scale and customization.

Rule 5. Treat your partnership like your business.

Is your company open to partnership?

"Privacy will be the new taboo and will not be appreciated or understood by upcoming generations." That is already partially true. When privacy issues are addressed, more and more people — particularly younger people — respond by asking, "So, what?" As we move forward, we are in danger of become a self-surveilling society

Paul Aneja - eTrends's curator insight, December 22, 6:43 PM

We are loosing the privacy rights...do you know what information about you is being collected by data brokers?

Retail’s Big Play: The Connected Consumer

Retail’s Big Play: The Connected Consumer | Designing design thinking driven operations | Scoop.it
I see the future of commerce unfolding every day. This past week, an eBay customer bought a 2012 Bugatti Veyron supercar for $1.9 million from an iPhone. Another customer bought a 2014 Lamborghini Aventador for $489,500, also on a smartphone. A Rolex watch was bought on an iPad, most likely while the customer was browsing on a couch in the evening – a time when we see shopping from tablets spike. This type of mobile commerce was unimaginable just a few short years ago. We are in the era of connect
