A sedation dentist is a dentist that sedates their patient while dentistry work is being done of them. This means that the patient is concious and awake while the procedure is being done. For patients who are less willing to have work done on their teeth there is sleep dentistry where the patient is completely unconcious while a procedure is being done to them.

I want to take the Cosmetology Program at Everett Community College a year or two after I graduate High School. I researched the Cosmetology Program and I definitely still want to attend this school. It sounds like so much fun! The Cosmetology Program teaches you everything you need to know about Cosmetology, and you get to test for licensing after you finish the required hours and classes.

In this video I learned that a dentist's teeth cleaning instruments are given specific purposes for specific reasons. I also learned that dental work is a very precise and difficult task to do and requires a deep knowledge and understanding of how your teeth and bacteria work and how they need to be removed.

I've learned that the predoctoral requirements for a restorative dentist is very different from the requirements for a general dentist. Predoctoral requirements seem to include more hands-on work and understanding than the general dentist requirements.

I learned about what the Dental Admission Test (DAT) specifically tests on (Natural sciences, preceptual abilities, reading comprehension, and quantitative reasoning). I've also learned that you will be allotted 5 hours to take the DAT and that the most heavily weighted section of the test is your natural science knowledge and perceptual ability.

I learned that Washington State University offers a vast amount of differences classes and majors, and will be excellent for finishing my chemical engineering major. Washington State University will also be very easy to transfer to from Everett Community College based off of current acceptance rates and GPA requirements.

University of Missouri engineers invented the "Plasma Brush" which is a painless way of delivering fillings to teeth and have a much smaller cost and more effective procedure. As of right now there isn't any negative side effects or repercussions to this procedure, so I don't see why we don't administer plasma brush fillings as of right now.

While other (more advanced) forms of dentistry involves improving the appearance of a persons teeth, mouth and smile. A general dentist's job is to take good care of their patient so they don't need any other types of dentists.

Based off of this video I learned the types of appointments that a dentist has to respond to, from emergency exams to scheduled appointments made in advance. I also learned that a major in sciences will help greatly for applying to dental school even though you don't "need" one.
