Face forward Organization ensures to bring positive changes in the Society

Face forward Organization ensures to bring positive changes in the Society | Deborah Alessi, Face Forward | Scoop.it

The creation of Face Forward, a nonprofit organization which was founded by Deborah and Dr. David Alessi, has been able to assist many people who have been facing a lot of challenges in their lives, especially those who have been victims of domestic abuse and gang violence.

Many cases go unreported and therefore a lot of them are often not heard by the officials, but through the foundation of Face Forward, Deborah has become an uncondensed champion for all those victims whose voices have not been heard. A lot of people have been able to gain benefit from the organization in some way or the other and it is because of this foundation that people who were crushed now have hope.

There is a lot of trauma which the victims suffer through as a result of all the violence they have been subjected in the past. All that violence tends to leave scars, scars which are physical, emotional and which will never be erased. This is where Face Forward steps in; it tries to bring people out of their trauma through therapy and brings to them the proposal of a fresh start to life.

Since the founding, Deborah has tried to reach out through various events and even community fundraisers to help more people. The main objective of these events is to spread the message of care and healing. Victims who have been forgotten about as a result of poor social assistance from society have been left astray and don’t know whether they’ll ever be able to live through all the hardships. The message inspires people to show they care and thus invoke a feeling in the victims that they might be able to recover.

The first step of recovery is assistance. You start to feel normal again. This is one important message that Face Forward highlights. It’s not easy to get back to a normal life after being battered for all your past life, but with a team of concerned and affectionate people who put your recovery as their priority; you will be able to take small and steady steps towards recovery.

Deborah often describes herself as a normal hard working woman who is no different from any other woman in the world. She believes that every woman has a right to be heard and a right to live and she will try and do everything for the people who need assistance in coming back to life.

Encouraging Victims Of Violence To Come Back And Live A Normal Life

Encouraging Victims Of Violence To Come Back And Live A Normal Life | Deborah Alessi, Face Forward | Scoop.it

That what has been classified as a simple assault may actually be a grave example of domestic abuse. These may result in mental and physical injuries and sometimes disfigurements, which leave the victim helpless throughout the rest of her life. There may be traumatic experience and examples of significant injuries like that of a burn, cur, scar, bruising or even immobility. This largely impacts the victims in the social environment barring them from searching for jobs or getting socially acceptable.

Getting out of an abusing relation or incident is not easy. Victims usually feel trapped or helpless. Things do not take care of themselves. Taking steps to heal and move on is really very tough. The scars of domestic violence or abuse really go very deep. The trauma of what a victim has been through can stay with her long after she has escaped the abusive situation. Counseling, therapy and support groups for domestic violence survivors can be helpful in the recovering process and gradually assist in building new and healthy relationships. Most of the victims, since they are soft towards the abuser out of family love do not retaliate. Many other victims actually do not have the required energy to retaliate and fight back.

Violence is not only in the form of physical injuries, it may also be in the form of verbal abuse, mental torture, or financial abuse. Many cases of these violence related incidents lead to serious injuries. While many victims try to hide these kinds of incidents from others in the society, the abusers run scot free. Trying to solve the problem by oneself is not the ultimate solution; there is need for assistance and guidance too.

There are very few organizations that genuinely care about helping victims of such situations. However, there are a few that tirelessly campaign to help victims come back to normal life and raise awareness aid for the same. They provide necessary funding to go under the surgeon’s knife; they provide the mental support and encourage the victims to live with their heads held high.

Deborah Alessi is the proud CEO of Face Forward, an Organization that is committed towards helping victims of domestic abuse, social violence and similar kinds of violent activities. So far, the organization has helped thousands of patients and victims across the world in the process of recovering and gaining back their level of confidence. People working for this organization are real examples of soldiers fighting for humanity!

Deborah Alessi, Face Forward's insight:

It has been observed that women are the most common victims of domestic violence. Physical injuries from these incidents leave deep marks, which need to be treated well.

In today’s world, a lot of people are facing challenges of many kinds as they go through their lives. One of the severe problems that society faces today is that women and children suffer a lot at the hands of men who have no mercy. A lot of us speak about freedom and how we feel about it, also the fact that we live in a free country. We boast and blow our horns about our democratic rights, but then why are there still women who don’t get to see the light of day?

Be it a gang, some mafia or an individual criminal, our society is being wrecked by their violent activities. Although there are hundreds of people who’ll talk about it over various social media websites, there won’t be a single person who will censure it, the way it’s supposed to be done. In times like these we’ll be the first ones to point our fingers atthe criminals and perpetrators who are responsible and then the government. However at times, it is the simple things which often go un-noticed and lead to a bigger problem. We all have come across a point in our lives where we’ve had a family next door who’ve had a troublesome home, with kids crying and at times the mother being abused.

WHAT WE’RE ABOUT

We at Face Forward, are here to make a difference, to make you realize how you play an important role in all of this and even how you can help by doing your part as a responsible citizen.

Women and children who are victims of domestic or gang violence are in desperate need of help from all sources possible. There are many aspects involved in providing the victim a new life. It is not just providing a job and financial assistance, there is a lot more to putting a stable and healthy life back together. And it doesn’t only stop there; sometimes such events tend to leave a mark in your memories which requires therapy so the victims can be at peace with themselves.

Face Forward has been at the forefront in the battle to save women and children from abusive relationships, marriages and neighborhoods for a long time. There are so many people who have benefitted from the services offered by us and as a non-profit organization it is a source ofpride to see the smiles on the faces of young children and their mothers when they can start a new life and be happy again.
