ORBIT is an Open Resource Bank of lesson ideas, supporting interactive teaching in science and maths, through Open Educational Resources (resources that can be used and adapted freely by learners and educators). All of the resources were developed by teachers for teachers, whether school teachers or PGCE staff. Each lesson idea in ORBIT is linked to a teaching approach (“pedagogical strategy”), as well as software and digital tools that you can use with this idea. There is also classroom material available, such as texts, images, spreadsheets, GeoGebra files, and much more.
The resource bank is easy to use, and organised by maths, science, primary, secondary, as well as specific topics, teaching approaches, and ICTs. There is also a dedicated section with teacher education materials, and a number of books that can be freely downloaded.
