I still remember reading this post back in 2008 and deciding to sell, give away, or throw out almost everything I owned. It turned out to be a really good idea. My first inventory showed that I owned over 300 things.


By late 2009, I was traveling the world with a single backpack and under 40 things. This practice definitely freed up lots of my attention... which even more than time and money, seemed to be the limiting factor in what I could accomplish.
