The owner and CEO of two dozen Burger King franchises in Arizona, Tom Barnett, was given a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette and a Rolex watch recently for being named the franchisee of the year.

 

But instead of keeping the prizes, Barnett sold them, dividing the $120,000 between managers at his stores in Phoenix, Flagstaff, Florence and Wickenburg, as bonuses for their hard work.

Telstra, Optus and Vodafone may be forced to order the recall of potentially millions of mobile phone SIM cards after it was revealed that US and British spy agencies stole encryption keys that secured personal information, including calls and texts, on the chips.

Dr Seuss long ago passed from the scene but old manuscripts by the beloved children's author keep turning up.

Random House Children's Books said Wednesday it will publish a recently discovered manuscript with Dr Seuss sketches, called What Pet Should I Get?, on July 28.


The publisher plans at least two more books based on materials found in 2013 by his widow, Audrey Geisel, and his secretary in the author's home in the ritzy seaside neighbourhood of La Jolla in San Diego.

InstadDoom, as it’s called, allows players to apply Instagram filters to the game. No longer will you have to wonder what DOOM would look like under a Lo-Fi, Valencia or Inkwell filter.
Even more impressive is the inclusion of a selfie stick in the game.
Linguica has taken the liberty to swap chainsaw and BFG locations throughout the game and replaced them with a selfie stick.

The document was found in a Victorian scrapbook after archivist Dr Mark Bateson was asked to search for another charter from the town of Sandwich.

A RARE and valuable edition of the Magna Carta has been unearthed in a city library believed to be worth a staggering $19.5 million.
An archivist stumbled upon the document, which has a third of its content missing, at Kent History and Library Centre.

The foundation study of 3000 Britons found 43 per cent had hidden wrappers to disguise how much they ate, 37 per cent had lied about their chocolate consumption, 32 per cent had secretly eaten it on the way home and 10 per cent had eaten it under the bed covers. One in eight waited until their partner left the room to take a nibble.

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi isn’t too pleased with how the West has appropriated this traditional Indian practice into a multi billion dollar industry.


Working out (or simply going to lunch) in a pair of trendy $119 yoga pants hardly seems very ‘spiritual’, does it?
