Hmm...This is a "funny" one. Should probably not put it up here, but I am curious to read what you think about this. The "plant based diet" is probably just an advertisement/or a joke wanting to praise it for athlets. But there is a more interesting article if you click on the link "reported TV guide on July 6th", in line 4 under the picture showing Lance Armstrong. I wish him all the best, no matter what all others say.

We'll never know, but we do know that the sports nutrition behind the scenes of professional cycling has moved a long way from foraging for food and water in the French countryside.

See here some information about the necessary fluid and food intakes on long rides. Can be inspiring for the amateur cyclist who never (almost) has a high enough fluid intake during long sportives. Those who rode La Marmotte on Sa 6th July 2013 know all about it !
