There's no point in knowledge if you don't share it: collaboration and generosity in the social age

There's no point in knowledge if you don't share it: collaboration and generosity in the social age | Current Marketing Topics | Scoop.it

"What’s the point in knowledge if you don’t share it?

Collaboration and generosity are what drive innovation and engagement and yet organisations are often obsessed with hiding things away, with tucking their stories out of sight behind paywalls and firewalls, behind layers of impersonal websites and corporate comms that lack content and impact. We sit courses on ‘data protection‘ and ‘data security‘, but never on ‘generosity‘ and ‘collaboration‘."

Christina McCale's insight:

To Create The Future Of Brand Identity, Ideo Looks Inward | Current Marketing Topics | Scoop.it
On March 25, the designers at each of Ideo’s 11 international offices put their other projects aside and spent the day thinking about Ideo.
Christina McCale's insight:

Outstanding Question!  In a day and age of customized messaging, Ideo is asking THE question - how to market or present themselves in the appropriate context. Using the Ideo analogy - when you are going to a funeral, you wear one outfit; when you're going to the clubs you wear something different. They call it intent... I like another term they used better - context appropriateness.... which means at your core value - you're still the same you. But when the time calls for it, you can be silly or serious, daring or demanding.  How will your brands change to reflect your own customers' needs at that moment?
