Kassandra Aguilar's insight:

I choose this article because it isn't the first that I have seen about this topic or a similar topic. I find it really dumb that companies are actually photo shopping and airbrushing certain things to the models that they do not have. They should just leave the picture how it is without changing the models in any way because this brings young girls to think that this is the “perfect” way to look. This website could be a bit bias, but overall I think it is reliable because they are just stating what they see.

West Virginians: We don't drink the water

West Virginians: We don't drink the water | Current Events | Scoop.it
Health officials say the tap water near Charleston, West Virginia, is all right to drink. But many residents aren't buying it.
Kassandra Aguilar's insight:

When I came across this article I decided to choose this for my scoop-it page because I found it interesting that even though they that drinking this water could be harmful they still tell the residents that it is okay for them to use it. Also it caught my attention because back at my high school they would say that the water in the town was contaminated so I was able to relate to it a bit. This website is a reliable source because they are always posting any type of news that happen around the world and try to make sure that what they are saying is true.

Kassandra Aguilar's insight:

I really enjoyed this article even though it was short. To me this is saying that it is important to get an education. Also they are using the typical tall, skinny models that clothing companies would usually use. They used women that went to school to get an education. I think this could be reliable because of the fact that they are just saying what the clothing company did and they did not include any opinion in this.

Cupcake Business Run By 11-Year-Old Shuttered By Illinois Health Officials

Chloe Stirling Says She Was Told to Buy a Bakery or Build Her Own Kitchen
Kassandra Aguilar's insight:

When I came across this article it caught my attention because I saw that an 11-year old was running her own cupcake business from the kitchen in her house. I was a bit upsetting that the Illinois Health Officials shut her down and she had to cancel all of the orders that she had. I think that this source is reliable, because it is a news website. I don’t think that there is much bias because they are usually just saying what they find out. It may be bias sometimes because they may twist the truth a bit, but I don’t think there is any in this case.
