What Is Instagram?
Instagram is a free mobile photo-sharing app with 80 million users and counting. It has seen many changes lately.

Instagram was acquired by Facebook in April 2012, launched a redesign on iOS that includes a new “Explore” tab and is rumored to be developing a web presence (so that users can see photos online, not just on the mobile app).

Social media management platform HootSuite also recently announced the addition of Instagram to its app directory. This gives HootSuite users access to almost all of Instagram’s features, which include searching, viewing and liking content, adding comments and sharing photos to other social platforms.

Clearly, Instagram is an up-and-coming photo-focused social platform not to be ignored. So what can your brand do with it?

Here are 10 creative ways your business can use Instagram.

Role Model Behavior – Singer JoJo Returns. By: Kanesha Pryor @kaneshathegreat. With every blog and magazine you read, it is impossible not to walk away with the idea that young Hollywood is out of control.
Carly Armstrong's insight:

I loved listening to Jojo when I was younger.  I always wondered why I never heard her music anymore.  Now from reading this article I am told that it was because she was trying to get out of her record label deal for the past 7 years.  But now she is back and she should be the one that the media write stories about.  She is fighting to live her dream and make music.  But no.  Media wants to write about Justin Bieber getting deported and Selena Gomez going to rehab and all these different stars that are not showing that they are good role models.  Jojo hasn't done very many bad things in her career and that is simply why you don't see her very often in the media.  There's no "story" with Jojo as far as the media is concerned.

Carly Armstrong's insight:

I haven't actually gotten to listen to the video yet because there is no sound, but I'm interested in researching about the difference between men and women when it comes to fighting.  Why it is that when women fight, most of the time it is said to be "resolved", but in our minds, we really haven't resolved anything?  Why is it that men can get into physical fights and the next day they apologize and everything is ok?
